How should I use Page Insights to improve my Page?
Page Insights helps you understand how people are engaging with your Page.
With Page Insights, you can:
* See metrics about the performance of your Page
* Learn which posts resonate with your audience
* Optimize how you publish to reach more people
For example, you can look at each of your posts and see which ones have the most likes, comments and shares and the least negative feedback. You can use this information to post about the things your audience likes and increase engagement on your Page.
How do I access Page Insights?
To access Page Insights:
* Go to your Page
* Click below your Page’s cover photo
* Select View Insights
You can access your Page Insights data through the dashboard or export it
using the Export Data button in the top-right corner.
If you decide to export it, a dialog box will allow you to specify:
The date range for which you want to get data
Whether you would like to get the data as an Excel file or
as a CSV (comma-separated values) file
Whether you want to see data at the Page level or for each individual Page post
What metrics are available to measure the overall performance of my Page?
Three metrics at the top of the Overview tab in your Page Insights help you assess the size and level of engagement of your audience.
Page Likes: Total Page Likes is the number of unique people who like your Page. New Page likes shows the number of new likes your Page received during the last 7 days, compared with the previous 7-day period.
Post Reach: Total Reach is the number of unique people who have seen any content associated with your Page (including any ads) during the last 7 days. Post Reach is the number of unique people who have seen your Page posts.
Engagement: People Engaged is the number of unique people who have clicked on, liked, commented on or shared your posts during the last 7 days. Likes, comments, shares and post clicks show the totals for these actions during the last 7 days.

Think more about the quality of your Facebook business friends rather than the number of them.
Say you currently had 92 pending Facebook friend requests – refuse to “friend” someone on the site that you wouldn’t be comfortable inviting into your home, giving your cell phone number out to, and randomly grabbing dinner with on a Saturday night. Genuinely want to like all the people you’re connected to on the site and be able to consider them as business friends.
Prescreen the people who can see what is posted, so you don’t have to filter what is posted along the way. Keep all the requests received, because you may potentially want to actually friend those people in the future – but their time isn’t now.

THE NAUTICAL ORIGINS of Some Common Expressions …
Son of a Gun – When in port, and with the crew restricted to the ship for any extended period of time, wives and ladies of easy virtue often were allowed to live aboard along with the crew. Infrequently, but not uncommonly, children were born aboard, and a convenient place for this was between guns on the gun deck.
If the child’s father was unknown, they were entered in the ship’s log as “son of a gun”.
