Here is Transcribed Text for my Video –
A Featured Youtube Video can Introduce your Channel or a Product.
To use the Featured Video function on your Youtube Channel Page you need to enable Browser Viewing. Go up here & click on the pencil, click edit channel navigation.
The browser view is enabled. Configure it on your Channel. I have the function enabled on my Channel. One function of the featured video is to Welcome Unsubscribed visitors to your Channel. Says here, tell unsubscribed users what your channel is all about.
A second function when you click on here is to have a Subscriber view in which case you can have your latest video featured or in this demonstration I’ll show how I’m going to promote a product. To select a video to be featured, I’m looking at part of my Instahook Video Background collection. I could select Beach scenes, Forest scenes, Waterfall scenes, Underwater scenes. Youtube recommends that the video is not longer than 1 minute. If I right click on a video & properties, I see this one is 33 & a half MB – that will play in just under a minute.
I’ve clicked on Upload to Youtube Channel. I have my videos beside me here. I drag & drop it on this page. While the video is still uploading I can put in the Title & Description & a Tag.
If your video is going to be an Introduction to your channel you might put in Welcome to & the name of your channel. In this case I’m also showing how it can be used as a promotion video so I’ve put in Welcome to Instahook Video Backgrounds. In the Description you’ll put a short & snappy Description of what your Channel is about. In this case my first line when I’m creating a promotion Featured Video I put in Do yourself a favour & click here for your … & I put the link Cool Video Backgrounds. For a tag I’ve put in Instahook Video Backgrounds. If you’re doing a Welcome video to your Channel you would have your Channel name in here as a Tag. At my Video Manager Page, I see my video has uploaded & I click on Edit. I’ve selected an attractive looking Thumbnail. I go to annotations. To begin with I clicked on Add Annotations & I selected a speech bubble & I typed in this box Welcome to my Channel & here if it was an Introduction Featured Video you would put in the name of your Channel. I’m going to use it as a promotional video so I’ve put in Instahook Video Backgrounds. I can select font, colour of my font & here I can select to fill the speech bubble or no colour at all. Up here is where I’ve chosen to position my box. As the video plays, 2 annotations here, one which is going right through to the end & I’ve selected that to be a title. Here is the title which will remain in position right the way almost to the end. Here is the annotation which will go for a few seconds & that is Instahook Video Backgrounds are just the right length for a Featured Video. I’ve used a different colour fill.
I’ll play it on until the next annotation comes into view. Here it is. You can select from Aerial, Timelapse, beach, mountain, desert & even underwater videos. In the place of this if it’s your Introduction Featured Video you would have something to attract people to watch more of your videos. So it plays on & at the end is the last annotation I’ve written Do yourself a favour & click this link in the Description Box of this video when it is published. Back at my Channel Page, I’ll click on Add Channel Trailer. It says select your Channel Trailer. The Trailer is the first video that new channel visitors see. Choose a video that is short & describes your channel & encourages visitors to subscribe but of course if you’ve chosen it to be seen by the newly arrived visitors & not those already subscribed. So I’ve selected that one & clicked Save. Here is my Channel Page with the Featured Video in place & in this description box I can add some more about my Channel. I’ll click play & see how it looks. I’ve fast forwarded to the end & my last annotation is Do yourself a favour & click on the link in the Description Box of this video. I trust these Cool videos will help you in either your Welcoming Video or your Promotion Videos.
